    Cleaning tips

Make sure you clean your Honda regularly to protect the surface finishes, and inspect for damage, wear, and oil or brake fluid leakage.

Avoid cleaning products that arent specifically designed for motorcycle or car surfaces. They may contain harsh detergents or chemical solvents that could damage your bikes metal, paint, and plastic.
If the machine is still warm from use, grab a cup of tea and wait until the engine and exhaust system cool off.
Dont use high-pressure water sprays (like the ones you find at coin operated car washes). High-pressure water (or air) can also damage parts of your motorcycle.

Washing

Rinse your bike thoroughly with cool water to remove loose dirt.
Clean it with a sponge or soft cloth using cool water. Dont squirt water at muffler outlets and electrical parts. Do squirt small children in the immediate vicinity.
Clean the plastic parts using a cloth or sponge dampened with a solution of mild detergent and water. Rub the soiled area, gently rinsing it frequently with fresh water. Take care to keep brake fluid or chemical solvents away from the surfaces, theyll damage the plastic and painted areas. The inside of the headlight lens may be clouded after youve finished washing. Switch the headlight on to high beam and youll see the moisture condensation inside the headlight lens gradually disappear. Remember to run the engine while keeping the headlight on.
After cleaning, rinse the motorcycle thoroughly with plenty of clean water. This is because strong detergent residue can corrode alloy parts.
Dry the bike, start the engine, and let it run for several minutes (its a nice opportunity to admire your handiwork).
Test the brakes before riding. You might need to pump them several times to restore normal braking performance.
Lubricate the drive chain immediately after you finish washing and drying the motorcycle. You might find braking is less responsive immediately after washing. Thats why its a good idea to give yourself a longer stopping distance to reduce the chances of an accident.

Finishing touches

After washing your motorcycle, think about using a commercial spray cleaner/polish or quality liquid or paste wax to finish the job. Be sure to only use a non-abrasive polish or wax made specifically for motorcycles or automobiles. And make sure you read the instructions!

Removing road salt

Too much salt is not only bad news for people. The salt contained in the gritting process in the winter can cause corrosion on your Honda. So make sure you:

Clean using only cool water. Dont use warm water, this worsens the effect of the salt.

Dry the motorcycle and apply protective sprays or wax to the metal surfaces.

Painted aluminium wheel maintenance

The aluminium parts of your bike may corrode from contact with dirt, mud, or road salt. Clean the wheels after riding through any of these substances. Use a wet sponge and mild detergent. Avoid stiff brushes, steel wool, or cleaners containing abrasives or chemical compounds.

After youve washed your bike, rinse it with plenty of water and dry it with a clean cloth. Apply touch-up paint to the wheels if you spot any damaged areas.

Exhaust pipe maintenance

The exhaust pipe is steel but may become stained by oil or mud. You can remove heat stains with a liquid abrasive.

Looking after your machine

Make sure you dont squirt water on to the bearings. This may cause humidity, which can lead to corrosion. During winter its a good idea to spray non-painted aluminium parts, like engine and transmission housing, with a transparent protective spray. You can get rid of any existing corrosion marks with soaped steel wool. Bare metal parts can be cleaned and protected with chromium polish.

When you clean the seat, dashboard, indicators, rear light and wind screen, make sure you use a neutral soap solution. Dont use any solvent that contains cleaners.

Very filthy parts and dead insects should be soaked in soap solution, and afterwards rinsed with water. And when youre going to be riding in poor conditions, protect your machine with waxes or lubricants. Ask your dealer about which ones are best.

Its always a good idea to plan routine servicing of your bike well in advance. That way you can get it done at a time that causes you the least amount of inconvenience, and works for your Honda dealer too.

Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle Wins Gold Award at iF DESIGN AWARD 2026

Honda has announced that the Honda WN7 electric motorcycle has won the Gold Award, the highest honor in the Product Design discipline of the iF DESIGN AWARD, one of the most prestigious design awards in the world. This marks the first time a Honda product has won the Gold Award at the iF DESIGN AWARD.

As the first Honda electric naked model in the FUN category, the Honda WN7 was developed with the concept of Be the Wind. This model represents part of a Honda initiative toward the realization of a carbon neutral society.

Adoption of a frameless structure, with the battery case functioning as the body frame, contributed to the realization of a lightweight body with a great layout flexibility. Moreover, the Honda WN7 features a maximum output of 50 kW, equivalent to a 600cc ICE (internal combustion engine) motorcycle, and maximum torque of 100 Nm, comparable to a 1000cc class ICE motorcycle. This ensures powerful yet composed performance both in stop-and-go city riding and cruising on open roads.

Key design features

Aiming to refine functionality and realize the essence of motorcycle design, the design features seamless and smooth surfacing when it comes in contact with the rider, while combining a distinctive and powerful silhouette. The signature headlight features an iconic horizontal bar design, and the color styling features a black-based body accented by gold component parts.

iF Gold Statement

The Honda WN7 electric motorcycle masterfully combines classic motorbike DNA with a confident electric identity. It respects Hondas legacy while embracing clean-energy aesthetics. The synthesis feels authentic, not forced, resulting in a unique design that is more than the sum of its parts. Bravo!

Comments by Toshinobu Minami, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Design Center, Honda R&amp;D Co., Ltd.

    <title>Honda Super Cub</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/honda-super-cub</link>
    <description>

    The Super Cub

Hondas legendary Super Cub originally born in 1958 and with over a 100 million built continues its storied journey into 2026. And, as before, all the signature component parts are in place: four-speed gearbox driving through an automatic centrifugal clutch, easy-to-live-with step-through body design, fuel-efficient air-cooled engine and large diameter smooth-rolling wheels matched to comfortable, supple suspension. Smart Key operation adds convenience while the new, exclusive 26YM two-tone colour scheme brings the Super Cub right up to date.

The very first Super Cub C100 was introduced in 1958, Hondas 10th year of existence. Created by Soichiro Honda and his long-time business partner Takeo Fujisawa, its stated aim was straightforward: to provide the joy of playing a useful part in peoples lives.

Nearly 60 years later, in 2017, the 100 millionth Super Cub was built, cementing its status as the most popular motor vehicle the world has ever seen. Along the way the Super Cubs simple attributes of unique styling, reliability, frugality and sheer usability have never gone out of fashion. And it has quietly achieved exactly what Soichiro and Takeo wanted: to get people mobile and keep them mobile.

The Super Cub series has long been popular in Japan - where it has long been popular with business users including the Japanese Post Office, and in South East Asia - where it retains an important role in peoples lives as private transport. Well aware of the number of urban European riders - across a wide range of age demographics - who look for credible retro-inspired machinery and head-turning style, Honda brought the latest version of the iconic machine to Europe in 2018, marking a new chapter in its long history.

In 22YM the Super Cub C125 received further advances for its European audience. The timeless look was unchanged, but a brand-new EURO5-compliant engine and host of improvements drove it forward, just as Soichiro and Takeo would have wanted.

25YM saw the Super Cub C125 gain EURO5+ compliance thanks to minor revisions to the fuel-efficient, air-cooled engine. Nothing changes mechanically for 26YM, but a new colour combination brings the iconic silhouette right up to date.

Take a look here for the new specifications and details.

    <title>Honda Dax ST125</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/honda-dax-st125</link>
    <description>

    The Dax ST125

Authentic, robust and offering simple riding pleasure, Hondas Dax features a pressed steel frame, 31mm USD forks, 12-inch wheels and air-cooled SOHC two-valve engine with four-speed gearbox and centrifugal clutch. Full LED lighting, compact negative LCD display and pillion grab rail complete the full specification list, and the intangible and timeless appeal of the unmistakeable Dax styling is something no spec sheet can encapsulate. For 25YM it gained EURO5+ compliance, whilst for 26YM a new funky paint line up looks set to carry on raising smiles across Europe.

Hondas pocketful of mini motorcycles strike a chord with young and old riders alike. The re-imagined Monkey 125 tugs at heart strings that remember the golden 1970s while providing thoroughly modern, compact and funky urban transport for riders of any age. The MSX125 Grom serves up left-field, customisable style for Generation Y but also as perfect paddock transport in the worlds of car and bike racing.

In 23YM a new bike joined the fold. The ST125 Dax fully owned the genuine authenticity of the 1969 original* but brought thoroughly 21st century performance from chassis, engine and ergonomics. The most recent version of the Dax was produced from 1995 to 2003 for the Japanese market; the more recent European success of its siblings hastened its return, and its mischievous charm and easy-going riding proposition bless the ST125 Dax with an extra layer of desirability.

Of course, nostalgia plays a part in the Daxs appeal to riders now in middle age riders who may have owned one in their youth and are pleased to see it again. Equally, retro is important to younger owners; thats real retro, not faux. A certain style sets some machines apart and the Dax has just that in abundance thanks to the form of its iconic T-shaped frame. Which is also how the bike got its name: extending from under the seat to the handlebars, and sitting atop the small 12-inch wheels, the look is reminiscent of the universally adored Dachshund, or Sausage Dog, to give it its everyday English name

For 25YM, the Dax gained EURO5+ compliance to futureproof the icon, which rolls in to 26YM basically unchanged other than a revised new paint line up. This small bike carries on as before, which means its unique, easy, usable and great fun. Just as it has always been.

As it should, the Dax keeps it simple. A steel frame provides strength and houses the fuel tank while 31mm USD forks, twin rear shocks and 12-inch wheels with chunky tyres provide light steering and good suspension performance. Braking is via hydraulic discs front and rear with ABS control.

Robust and fuel efficient, the 124cc SOHC two-valve engines power is linear in delivery with smooth torque. A centrifugal clutch manages shifting between the four ratios so theres no need for a handlebar-mounted clutch lever. It offers twist-and-go simplicity with the added entertainment of changes via a traditional left-foot gear lever. EURO5+ compliance was achieved for 25YM.

All lighting is LED and a circular LCD display shows exactly what the rider needs to know. The pillion gets a chromed grab rail, too. Accessories available include a clock and gear indicator display, rear carrier, side bag support, immobiliser alarm, USB socket and heated grips.

The 26YM Dax will be available in the following colour options:

**NEW**Pearl Horizon White
**NEW**Candy Energy Orange
Pearl Shining Black

    <title>Honda Monkey</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/honda-monkey</link>
    <description>

    The Honda Monkey

Hondas pocket-sized grin machine is set and ready to cheer up 2026. Specification includes a Euro 5+ compliant air-cooled 124cc engine, five-speed gearbox, steel frame, USD forks, 12-inch wheels and IMU-controlled ABS braking. Full LED lighting and neat LCD dash are the premium finishing touches updated for 26YM with new suitably retro paint schemes.

The Honda Monkey bike is perhaps most widely known as a groovy icon of the 1970s, but it first saw the light of day in 1961. Originally developed as a 49cc childs plaything for Tama Tech, an amusement park in Tokyo, it proved so popular that a road-going version was developed, which was initially exported to America and Europe in 1963, with a distinctive chrome tank, folding handlebars and 5-inch diameter rigidly mounted wheels.

Its popularity was based on a cute, instantly-likable design, tiny dimensions and ultra-light weight which made it a whole load of fun around town. By 1969 its wheels had increased to 8-inch in diameter and from 1970 it gained even greater popularity, when the addition of quick-detach forks meant it would fit into the trunk of a small car.

By 1978 a point that marked the start of real prime time for the Monkey the bike had been re-styled with a teardrop style fuel tank and became hugely popular with legions of RV (Recreational Vehicle) drivers in need of convenient transport to use once they were parked up. And this is where and when the cheeky Monkey really cemented its place in millions of hearts; with its 3-speed gearbox and centrifugal clutch (which needed no traditional motorcycle skill to operate) it gave thousands of riders their first experience of twisting the throttle on a powered two-wheeler.

Because it was so much fun, and so easy to ride, it did more to sell the concept of motorcycles to a wider public than perhaps any other machine. With its chunky tyres, mini-ape style handlebars, miniscule fuel tank and big, squashy seat the Monkey look is unmistakably of its time, but just like the affection in which it is held also timeless.

And in 2018 the Monkeys time came around once again. Inspired by the original (but also as a usefully fun 125cc motorcycle fit for the 21st century) a brand-new Monkey cheered up the roads of Europe. For 22YM the Monkey got an engine upgrade, an extra gear for the transmission, suspension refinements and detail improvements, widening its smile factor and building-in extra day-to-day usability.

25YM saw the pocket-sized Monkey gain EURO5+ compliance, thanks to mild tweaks to the engine. Mechanically unchanged for 26YM, brand-new paint options means that the pocket-sized Monkey fun has never looked so good.

The Monkey 125s EURO5+ compliant two-valve air-cooled engine produces 6.9kW power with 11Nm torque. Its durable and easy to use while a 5-speed gearbox opens up longer rides. The steel frame, USD forks, twin rear shocks and 12-inch wheels roll smoothly; for extra safety the ABS braking is Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) controlled.

Then, of course, theres the inimitable Monkey look, correct from the mini-ape bars to upswept exhaust. Its infectiously grin inducing for the rider and everybody it passes. Exclusive accessories include a clock and gear indicator display, rear carrier, side bag support, immobiliser alarm, USB socket and heated grips.

For 26YM the Monkey will be available in the following, suitably cool, paint options:

**NEW**Mat Gun Powder Black Metallic
**NEW**Knight Silver Metallic and Millennium Red
**NEW**Pearl Himalayas White with Banana Yellow

    <description>

    The CB1000F

Retro inspired CB design captures the essence of iconic previous models
Developed to offer easy handling, a unique sound, and dynamic performance
Retuned Fireblade engine offers effortless everyday performance with a unique four-cylinder soundtrack thanks to extensive development work
Extensive specification includes Honda Smart Key operation, five-inch colour TFT with smartphone connectivity, LED lighting all round and much more

Honda has announced the expansion of its storied CB family, with the introduction of the 26YM CB1000F. The latest chapter in a long and illustrious story of performance bikes, the F is a retro naked inspired by icons from the CB back catalogue, particularly the AMA-spec CB750F of Freddie Spencer.

The bikes swooping style is pure 80s, a decade increasingly influencing contemporary popular culture in everything from music, style, clothing and more. The clean design of the CB1000F focuses on the essentials, with a strong connecting line flowing from the tank, through the side covers and seat into the rear cowl. Other retro influences include single round headlamp flanked by twin horns, the bold tank graphics, and a bespoke exhaust topped with a megaphone style muffler.

Powering the CB1000F is the proven CBR1000RR Fireblade unit, which has undergone a variety of development work to create a substantial change in character. Revised camshafts for exhaust and intake valve timing, as well as tuned intake specifications, help produce maximum power of 91kW @ 9,000rpm and 103Nm of torque @ 8,000rpm ensuring power is always available in everyday riding. These changes also give the CB1000F an evocative, unique four-cylinder engine sound as well as delivering enjoyable, well-balanced performance across the entire rpm range.

To ensure an all-round supple ride, 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD front forks have been employed up front, paired with an adjustable Showa rear shock operating a Pro-Link linkage offer high-quality ride control and dynamic performance. Ensuring all round control, four-piston radial-mount front brake calipers work 310mm floating discs.

Juxtaposed against the outwardly retro look is a thoroughly modern and extensive standard specification. A six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) facilitates Cornering ABS, whilst Throttle By Wire (TBW) delivers three default riding modes to tailor the bike to any condition. With preset combinations of Power, Engine Brake, HSTC with integrated wheelie control settings, plus two USER options allowing the rider to tailor their preferred settings, the rider is free to choose the right mode for any kind of ride.

The optically bonded five-inch TFT screen offers intuitive usability, clarity even in bright light, and Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity through the simple switchgear on the left handlebar, whilst a Honda Smart Key can be tucked away in a pocket for effortless operation.

Continuing Hondas commitment to reduce consumption of global resources and increase the use of more easy to recycle materials, the CB1000Fs rear fenders and seat base are made from pre-consumer recycled PP (Polypropylene).

Rounding out the CB1000Fs introduction to the European market is a range of Genuine Honda Accessories that enhance style, performance, and comfort. Available as part of carefully curated packs (Sports, Comfort, or Travel) or available individually, the CB1000F can be tailored to your exact needs.

The CB1000F will be available in a range of colour options:

    <title>Rob&#039;s Review of Brian&#039;s Honda RC181 Replica</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/robs-review-of-brians-honda-rc181-replica</link>
    <description>
        Rob&#039;s Review - Honda RC181 Replica

Heres a bike weve had little physically to do with, our input has only been moral supportand occasional advice but it absolutely merits sharing with you. We have followed the trialsand tribulations of its creation and its creator with much interest over the 18 months or so itstaken to build.

Its a meticulous replica of a 1966/7 Honda RC181 as ridden by a certain Michael StanleyBailey Hailwood MBE, a 9-time World champion or Mike the Bike as he was commonlyknown as.

Although the RC181 was more powerful than the all-conquering MV Agusta of GiacomoAgostini, the handling and reliability were no match for the Italian duo. Honda retired from Grand Prix racing in 1967 after failing to win the title. It wasnt until their return to GP in the80s before Freddie Spencer would win their first much coveted 500cc World Championshipin 1983.

The man with the inspiration to build this replica is Brian Yeomans, a regular customer andgreat friend to all at 21 st Moto.

The project started life as a very tired non-runner CB500 Four. Ive seen a few HailwoodHonda replicas over the years and admit to being sceptical about what standard to expect. But talking with Brian it soon became apparent that he was setting the bar extremely high.

Brian studied every detail and image that Google and many other sources could provide andset to creating his vision.

Brian was the project manager and builder. He also researched and employed the servicesof many experts in their field to achieve the result he wanted.

And Im sure youll agree the result is worth all the effort. Brians attention to detail is secondto none.It justifiably won a best bike award at the recent Canada Heights bike show and Im suremany more awards are to follow.

See the photos and video below and see what you think!

Celebrating the global production of our 500 millionth motorcycle!

Hondas cumulative global production of engine/motor-powered motorcycles has reached 500 million units a world-first* achievement 76 years after the company began mass production of motorcycles in 1949 with the Dream D-Type.

Since its founding in 1948, Honda has developed and provided products and services that meet the needs of customers in many countries and regions based on its belief that the purpose of technology is to make peoples lives easier.

Honda began mass-production of motorcycles at its first overseas production facility in Belgium in 1963, and since then, has expanded its production globally in accordance with its fundamental principle of producing locally where there is demand. As a result, Honda achieved its 100 million-unit milestone in 1997, its 200 million-unit milestone in 2008, and its 300 million-unit milestone in 2014. In 2018, Hondas annual production exceeded 20 million units for the first time in its history, and cumulative global production reached 40 million units in 2019. Although the annual production of motorcycles temporarily declined due to COVID-19 in 2020, demand has steadily recovered worldwide to pre-pandemic levels since then. In addition to internal combustion engine (ICE) models, Honda positioned year 2024 as its first year of global expansion for electric powered two-wheelers and has started launching new models, creating a wide and diverse product line up.

Honda now offers a broad variety of models from commuters for everyday use to larger displacement models for weekend leisure as well as electric vehicles, with an annual production capacity of more than 20 million units in 23 countries and 37 production entities. The company delivers products and services to customers worldwide through a network of more than 30,000 Honda dealers.

Honda will continue its efforts to further solidify its motorcycle business, by providing attractive products and services with a multi-faceted approach, realizing the joy and freedom of mobility for a wider range of customers, building a highly efficient business structure, and achieving carbon neutrality, including through electrification.

Toshihiro Mibe, Director, President and Representative Executive Officer, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

For Honda, motorcycle business is our &#039;founders business&#039;, and it will continue to be the companys core business. In the motorcycle business, we have built the trust of our customers through our many products and services, which has enabled us to achieve a cumulative production volume of 500 million units. I would like to thank our customers and all stakeholders who were involved in achieving this milestone, from development to production, sales, and service. Honda will continue to take on the challenge of expanding the joy of our customers around the world.

The milestone production total will be hit in India, with the Activa, rolling off the production line at the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Private Limited (HMSI) Plant 4 in Vittalpur, Gujurat.

    <title>The New 26YM CB125F/CBF125M</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/the-new-26ym-cb125fcbf125m</link>
    <description>

    CB125F/CBF125M

Model updates:Hondas perennially popular entry-level CB125Fs standard specification revolves around its low friction enhanced Smart Power (eSP) engine that delivers outstanding fuel economy while maintaining strong 125cc performance. Equipped with Idling Stop for 26YM (the first time on a Honda manual transmission), EURO5+ compliance has also been achieved. Refreshed bodywork takes styling cues from a range of much biggerstablemates and equipment includes a new LED headlight and taillight, plus 4.2-inch TFT LCD display with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity and USB-C port. A centre stand and passenger grab rail are standard fit.

Introduction

An entry-level 125cc motorcycle needs to be a multi-faceted machine. To some it represents the most economical way of getting from A to B, both in terms of initial affordability and running costs. To these riders it must be durable, easy to live with and economical: simple, trouble-free transport at its most fundamental.

But to many new riders a 125 is the start of their motorcycling adventure, their first real bike. So, it must deliver all the above, plus everything else that a motorcycle should the excitement, freedom and instinctive pleasure that two wheels bring to everyday life. Yet it also must be easy for a novice to manage as they learn, with a build quality and styling that instil tangible pride of ownership.

For any manufacturer, welcoming and introducing fresh entrants to their brand is important. The right initial experience can lead to a lifelong association, and the CB125F has long served this function for Honda a tough, user-friendly entry-level motorcycle that offers the perfect first rung on the ladder. The CB125F was a new model name for Honda in 2015; it maintained the previous CBF125s core strength of robust simplicity but built strongly on that strong foundation in terms of quality, ease of use and style.

In 2021 the CB125F was renewed once more, with a complete (lighter weight) refresh that made it even more desirable and cost effective. In 24YM it received a light update through a new muffler and pillion grab handle and now, for 26YM, it moves on again with updated styling, revised details and additional tech that owners will appreciate.

As ever, the CB125F remains a great bike to simply get you where you need to be, or from where to begin the ride and journey of a lifetime.

Model Overview

The CB125F is a serious small machine, whose original development involved the filing of no fewer than 19 patent applications.Completely updated in 21YM, it lost 11kg thanks to a new engine, redesigned frame and revised bodywork. For 26YM and expanding on its success the CB125F receives refreshed, sharper styling with a new, premium, headlight signature, plus enhanced specification and everyday usefulness in the form of a full-colour 4.2 TFT display, complete with RoadSync smartphone connectivity and USB-C port conveniently located near the handlebars.

Idling Stop technology has been applied and, as before, the air-cooled enhanced Smart Power (eSP) engine offers a user-friendly experience, EURO5+ compliance, and outstanding fuel economy, all while maintaining excellent 125cc performance

The 26YM CB125F will be available in the following bold colour options:

Imperial Red Metallic
Matt Marvel Blue Metallic
Matt Axis Gray Metallic

Key Features
 Engine

Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) engine with ACG starter - now includes Idling Stop technology for even greater fuel economy, plus EURO5+ compliance
Low friction technologies include offset cylinder, needle bearings for the roller/rocker arms and piston oil jet
Five-speed gearbox and sealed final drive chain
Uprated 5Ah battery

The CB125Fs air-cooled, 124cc 2-valve SOHC single-cylinder eSP engine has been engineered from its inception to maintain optimum performance for busy urban streets but with extra, serious frugality and supreme reliability.

Peak power of 8kW is delivered @ 7,500rpm, with peak torque of 10.9Nm @ 6,000rpm. Bore and stroke is set at 50 x 63.1mm, with a compression ratio of 10.0:1. This results in standing start acceleration over 200m of 12.4s, but more importantly, the fuel efficiency is 66.7km/l, giving a potential range of over 730km from the 11L fuel tank.

Honda has developed its eSP engines and the engineering that goes into them on a growing range of 125cc scooters over the last 8 years. The focus is around building in, from a clean sheet, low-friction technology to every facet of the engine. And it starts with weight; the 2021 upgrade reduced the weight of the eSP engine by 7kg. Its cylinder is offset, reducing friction between the piston skirt and bore, while the piston itself is cooled by an oil jet from underneath, again reducing friction. Valve operation is via rocker-roller arms equipped with needle bearings.

An Alternating Current Generator (ACG) is also part of the eSP formula and combines electricity generation with starting duties, saving weight while simplifying layout. The effort needed to start the engine is reduced thanks to a swing-back system that returns the crank to its position before air intake giving the engine a running start and a decompression mechanism that negates cranking resistance due to compression. In use the ACG starter is extremely quiet.

Idling Stop technology as found on the Vision 110, SH125i and PCX125 scooters is a benefit of the ACG system and a 26YM addition; its also the first on a Honda with a standard manual transmission. The system switches off the engine at standstill, operates (in any gear) to seamlessly restart it as the clutch is let out, and can be turned off if desired. A new 02 sensor plus updated ECU settings ensures EURO5+ compliance while an uprated battery, from 4Ah to 5Ah, ensures durable cranking power.

The gearbox is 5-speed and final drive is via a 428 sealed chain.

Styling &amp; Equipment

Comprehensive styling refresh builds big bike appeal
New 4.2-inch colour TFT screen features Honda RoadSync connectivity
USB-C charging socket
New LED front and rear lights
Passenger grab rail and centre stand standard fit

The 26YM CB125F wears updated, sophisticated styling to deliver the owner even more of that big bike style. Building on what went before, the broad-shouldered fuel tank takes its cue from other models in the CB family with added dynamicism in its taut lines backed up by a revised large mass rear seat cowl while the refreshed nose fairing and blacked-out fly screen are more compact and stylish yet still provide ample wind deflection, alongside the tank side shrouds. The all-new headlight unit is an LED item with a unique, distinct and highly visible vertical light signature; the re-shaped taillight is also new LED. The start/stop button is an integrated switch as is the high beam/passing switch.

The centrepiece of the new riding experience is a brand new, full colour 4.2-inch TFT display that includes gear position indicator, fuel gauge and clock. It also incorporates Bluetooth, while the smartphone connectivity of Honda RoadSync is also an upgrade. This feature allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls or listen to music. Owners just need to download the Honda RoadSync app, connect to the CB125F, and they&#039;re ready to go. For convenient smartphone charging, a USB-C socket is included.

The engine, exhaust downpipe, fork lowers and wheels are blacked out, underlining the strong, defined lines and bold paintwork options. The muffler too, is blacked out and finished in a near full length chrome heat shield. Other quality finishing touches include 3D Honda Wings on the shrouds and mirror/indicator shaping that emulates the design language of the whole machine.

With its intended use as an everyday commuter, gateway machine to the world of motorcycling and riding school stalwart the CB125Fs riding position is upright and relaxed, with forward-set footpegs and wide tubular handlebars giving optimum control, rider confidence and all-round visibility. Seat height is set at a manageable 790mm and offers room for two adults comfortably; an aluminium passenger grab rail is also standard, as is a centre stand.

Chassis

Lightweight tubular steel frame
Preload adjustable twin rear shocks
117kg wet weight
Confidence-inspiring Combined Braking System (CBS)

The CB125Fs tubular frame uses high-tensile steel in its construction. It suspends the engine from a sturdy central spine and features geometry that provides the best balance between ride comfort and straight-line stability, with a focus toward light steering input and sporty feel at all lean angles. Rake and trail are set at 26 and 92mm, with wheelbase of 1,285mm and wet weight is only 117kg.

Dual rear shocks offer five-stage spring preload adjustment and complement the 30mm diameter telescopic forks compliance and ride quality; stylish 18-inch die-cast aluminium split-five-spoke front and rear wheels increase stability and ride quality over rough city streets.

Tyres are sized 80/100 front and 100/80 rear. A 240mm front disc is worked by a single piston caliper, with back up from the 130mm rear drum. Aiding new and less experienced riders is the confidence-inspiring Combined Braking System (CBS), which applies some braking force to the front disc when using the rear brake, for more balanced and stable low-speed control.

    <title>Rob&#039;s Review - GB350S</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/robs-review-gb350s</link>
    <description>

    Honda GB350 My first ride.

Please forgive me for not being too excited by the prospect of riding the GB350, but who knew this bike which only produces 21bhp would be so much fun to ride. Everyone here whos ridden it (staff and customers alike) have returned with a Cheshire cat grin on their face.

The price deserves top billing, because at 3949 OTR it is extremely good value. At this price you might expect some cost cutting, but it is built in Japan to the highest quality and comes with a centre stand fitted as standard (no pun intended!).

If country lanes, B roads and town riding are your thing the GB350 will be in its element. Easy predictable handling and friendly power delivery combine to give the GB350 a very satisfying ride, although if you want to wind it up a bit more the standard fitment Metzelers are more than up to getting the pegs down through the twisties.

Honda have produced this engine to have character, a relatively heavy flywheel for low down torque combined with balancer shafts to minimise vibration at higher revs are key to how theyve achieved this. As you would expect the fuel economy is excellent too at a claimed 94mpg.

The seat height at 800mm may cause issues for shorter riders, but by reupholstering the saddle it can be reduced by another 25mm and if that isnt enough, we have a further solution albeit a bit more expensive to assist here. So dont be put off if its a little too tall for you.

Honda produce a range of accessories to tailor the GB350 for your requirements. Take a look on the Honda UK Motorcycles website configurator to see what you might want to add.

If Im being perfectly honest, whilst the colours are stylish and contemporary I wouldve preferred a classic burgundy red or a dual colour scheme. When supply catches up with demand we may do our own. Watch this Space!

We have a demo model here ready to try, if youre after a lightweight fun bike, this could be the one for you.

    <title>ICONIC FAVOURITES - SUPERCUB - MONKEY - DAX</title>

New 25YM colours and Euro5+ compliance for iconic Dax, Monkey and Super Cub C125

New colourways lean into historic roots of all three models
Engine revisions ensure EURO5+ compliance for continued presence in European market
New exclusive accessories enable further personalization

Three of Hondas most visually distinctive and iconic models receive visual and new accessory options for their 2025 year model iterations.

Since its reintroduction in 2023, the ST125 Dax has won over reviewers and customers alike with its sympathetic update of the 60s original. The preservation of the Daxs spirit continues into 25YM, with theiconic T-shaped frame, tall handlebars, and the small yet chunky 12-inch wheels retained. Changes are limited to an uprated catalyser, new ECU settings and an additional OBD2-2 sensor to ensure Euro5+ emissions compliance, whilst Pearl Shining Black joins the Daxs colour palette options alongside the retained Pearl Cadet Grey and Pearl Glittering Blue choices.

Its 125cc pocket-sized sibling, the Z125 Monkey, also sees similar revisions for 25YM. Minor changes to the engine ensure future emissions compliance without impeding performance or efficiency. An all-new colour line-up sees three new colour combinations adorn the iconic pocket bike. Sheen Silver Metallic and Pearl Shining Black, Millenium Red and Pearl Himalayas White, and Turmeric Yellow and Knight Silver Metallic are the 25YM options each injecting a unique character into the bike.

Ensuring it continues its legacy as the most produced vehicle ever, the same Euro5+ compliance revisions have also been applied to the Super Cub C125. The iconic silhouette is emphasised for 25YM through a revised sole colour option of Pearl Bosphorus Blue over Pearl Sugarcane Beige, complemented by a contrasting red leather seat.

The changes bring Hondas entire two-wheeled line-up in line with the latest and most stringent European emissions regulations, ensuring the pint-sized icons will continue to bring joy to European riders for years to come.

    <title>Rob&#039;s Review - The CB1000SP and CB1000S Hornet</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/robs-review-the-cb1000sp-and-cb1000s-hornet</link>
    <description>

Robs first Ride of the 2025 Honda CB1000SP Hornet.

I was very fortunate to be invited by Honda UK to try some new models in Portugal last week, one of these was the eagerly awaited CB1000SP Hornet. Yes, I know its a tough job!
Those of you that know me will recall my fondness for all the previous CB1000R models, but make no mistake this isnt an update, this is a new model from the ground up. The concept of using a Fireblade derived engine in a naked bike is not new, it started with the CB900F Hornet in 2001. It wasnt even Hondas idea, 600 Hornet owners were shoehorning a 900 Fireblade motor into their rolling chassis! Honda saw an opportunity and borrowed the concept. However, this is their most powerful incarnation yet but, still retains incredible flexibility for ease of use.
I have to stop myself from saying this is a great bike for the money, because this is a great bike full stop. It just happens to also be an absolute steal at 9999 for the SP or 8999 for the S. The SP has an Ohlins rear shock, Brembo calipers, a quick shifter and 5 more bhp over the S model. These prices have sent the opposition into a spin! Significantly undercutting their offerings.
And what a bike this is to ride! It makes the previous CB1000R feel old, slow and ponderous. Steering is quick and neutral, if you need to change course mid corner, as I had to when following our lead rider entering a roundabout (I thought we were going straight on and we were actually turning left). The bike happily tightened its line to make the correction while still trailing the brakes until the footrest was on the floor. The bike is equally composed through the fast corners and I cant wait to try one on a track day!
The engine produces 155bhp with the aid of a butterfly valve that opens as the revs increase. The S model doesnt have this, although Id expect a sports exhaust can would regain the missing 5 bhp. Acceleration from any revs, any gear is very impressive. I would expect it to keep a Fireblade honest up to speeds that you shouldnt admit to.
As you would expect from Honda the build quality is superb and they havent cut any corners to achieve these prices. The bike features various rider modes to tailor power, engine braking and traction control to your liking. A 5 TFT screen is fitted incorporating phone connectivity, and is operated by an intuitive user friendly left switch cluster.
This bike will excel for all your needs and Honda produce a range of accessories to choose from to enhance it even further.
Our demo has arrived and is ready to go, I challenge you not to love it, I do!

The New CB1000 Hornet and CB1000 SP Hornet

CBR1000RR Fireblade engine provides the exhilarating power
New frame with high torsional rigidity, short gear ratios and Showa suspension deliver classic Hornet handling
Pure and aggressive streetfighter styling is built around the Hornet trademark narrow waist and broad-shouldered front end with high-output dual LED headlights
SP variant adds high-performance hlins suspension and Brembo brakes to take the dynamism to the next level

The 24YM CB750 brought the evocative Hornet name back to Europe, and generated instant popularity: its combination of taut streetfighter silhouette, exhilarating power and razor-sharp agility made it Europes best-selling naked bike in 2023.

For 25YM, the Hornet family grows again with the introduction of not one, but two exciting new flagships. Following the addition of the CB500 Hornet as a 24 year model, the new CB1000 Hornet arrives - together with an SP version - to headline the family and turn the excitement dial up to the max.

Hondas new naked flagship delivers a potent cocktail of intense acceleration and ultra-sharp handling to deliver maximum riding fun from busy city street to twisting mountain road. The performance is delivered through the formidable CBR1000RR Fireblade-based engine (producing peak power of 112kW at 11,000rpm and 104Nm at 9,000rpm) with short gear ratios, which works in combination with a new twin spar frame with a high degree of torsional rigidity, Showas big pistonSFF-BP upside down forks and Nissin brake calipers.

The bikes styling is pure and aggressive. Its led by the piercing gaze of super-compact dual LED projector headlights and the Hornet-signature fuel tank; the look is broad-shouldered up front and tapers radically to the rear, via the minimal seat unit that underlines the traditional narrow-waisted Hornet look. The subtly blacked out frame and trellis-style rear sub-frame underpin the design lines.

The minimalistic look hides premium technology in the form of multiple riding modes with different combinations of Power, Engine Braking and Honda Selectable Torque Control, an optically bonded five-inch full colour TFT screen, Honda RoadSync connectivity, and Hondas Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) as standard.

For riders looking to amplify their riding experience even further, the CB1000 Hornet is available with an SP variant. <title>The Forza Family</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/the-forza-family</link>
    <description>

The Forza Family get a boost for 2025!

25YM revisions reinforce the Forza ranges status as the premium GT scooter family
Range-topping Forza 750 restyling starts at the front with new headlight unit featuring revised Daytime Running Lights and integrated indicators
Forza 750 also offers enhanced practicality with greater weather protection, more leg room and improved ground reach
Also uses sustainable materials for several bodywork parts, including bio-mass DurabioTM
Revised DCT settings offer increased low-speed control
All three Forzas gain Euro 5+ compliance

Hondas popular Forza trio of GT scooters receive style, equipment and all-round usability updates for 25YM to further cement their status as the ultimate in premium transport for the city and beyond.

The range-topping Forza 750s bodywork has undergone a taut, angular redesign which exudes dynamic maxi-scooter style. Up front, the new headlight unit with redesigned Daytime Running Lights shows a premium new face, whilst the integrated indicators elevate not only the style but also the visibility - and, ultimately, safety. Rounding out the 25YM visual revisions are new 3-by-3 style 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wheels.

Practicality has been enhanced all-round, led by the new styling, which offers improved function in the shape of better wind protection and increased leg room. New running boards also increase rider comfort, whilst the reprofiled seat has been designed to be instantly comfortable whilst ensuring easy ground reach.

In common with its adventure sibling the X-ADV, the Forza 750 uses a number of new materials for 2025, as one step towards the achievement of Hondas long-term sustainability aims. There is a greatly increased application of recycled materials, and for the first time the biomass material DurabioTMis used for several bodywork parts.

All the upgrades build strongly on the Forza 750s compelling combination of classic Grand Touring (GT) style and comfort mixed with sporty, engaging handling and punchy engine performance. The latter is derived from its torquey, fuel-efficient 745cc twin-cylinder powerplant, which offers adjustable characteristics through three default rider modes and a user defined option. The extensive specification also includes Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), which for 25YM offers a further refined RAIN mode, and the revised Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), whichfeatures adjustments for smoother handling at slow speeds. The robust tubular steel frame, aluminium swingarm, 41mm USD forks, radial-mount four-piston brake calipers, and Pro-Link rear suspension continue to deliver the sports motorcycle levels of handling that customers expect of any scooter carrying the Forza name.

Also upgraded for 2025 are the 25YM Forza 350 and Forza 125, both of which are built at Hondas factory in Atessa, on Italys Adriatic coast. Both have been given new ECU settings, revised catalyser and muffler internals, and a SO2 sensor to ensure they just like the 750 reach EURO5+ compliance.

For 25YM, all three Forza models gain a new five-inch TFT screen that offers revised menus and layouts for intuitive control, increased clarity in bright light and easy Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity through the simplified switchgear on the lefthand bar. Practicality is further boosted for the trio thanks to the relocated USB socket, and a light in the under-seat storage compartment.

The extensive specification of Forzas remainscentral to their appeal, and the 25YM Forza family continues this, with all models featuring an electrically-operated screen that adjusts through 180mm travel to accommodate a wide range of riding scenarios, full LED lighting, HSTC, USB-C connectivity and Smart Key functionality as standard.

The 25YM Forza 750 will be available in the following colour options:

    <title>2024 Honda CB125R</title>
    <link>https://www.21stmoto.co.uk/news/2024-honda-cb125r</link>
    <description>

    2024 CB125R

When embarking on a two-wheeled career, there are certain fundamentals that every rider looks for from their first motorcycle: an easy-to-ride chassis, with engaging real-world engine performance, and super-agile handling. Wrap those fundamentals, however, in distinctive, classy styling and add a host of premium specifications, and the result can be an extra special machine with which to begin a life on two wheels.

It was for new riders looking for this kind of package that Honda introduced the all-new CB125R in 2017. The smallest member of Hondas minimalist, bare-boned Neo Sports Caf family, the CB125R was launched alongside the CB300R and the flagship CB1000R, and represented a bold new, premium addition to the ranks of Hondas entry level machines.

In 21YM the CB125R received a brand-new, 4 valve engine and major front suspension upgrade, keeping it at the head of a competitive field, and at the top of many young riders wish list.

For 24YM, the CB125R is compliant with new EURO5+ emissions targets and the addition of an all-new 5in full colour TFT display, all-new switchgear and four new colours heighten the appeal even further.

The attention-grabbing style of the CB125R is a real standout feature among its peers and sets it apart from the homogeneous crowd.

Peppy and fun to rev, the EURO5+ DOHC 4V engine delivers a healthy 11.0kW power with 11.6Nm torque. And 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD forks bring big-bike suspension quality to a small bike. Braking is equally impressive: a 296mm floating front disc is worked by a radial-mount, four-piston caliper with ABS controlled by Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). For 24YM a new 5in full colour display and new switchgear add further appeal.

The 24YM CB125R will be available in the following colour options:

**NEW**Matt Cynos Gray Metallic with Black sump guard and shrouds
**NEW**Pearl Cool White with Matt Cynos Gray Metallic sump guard and shrouds
**NEW**Reef Sea Blue Metallic with Matt Cynos Gray Metallic sump guard and shrouds
**NEW**Pearl Splendor Red with Matt Cynos Gray Metallic sump guard and shrouds

    <title>E Clutch Technology</title>

    <description>

Honda breaks more new ground with innovative Honda E-Clutch Technology

Honda to introduce new Honda E-Clutch electronic clutch technology as an option on CB650R and CBR650R from 24 year model season
Honda E-Clutch delivers slick shifting up and down the gears, plus super-smooth starting and stopping without the need to use the clutch lever
The lightweight and compact system brings more enjoyment and flexibility across a wide range of scenarios, for a next level riding experience

With the introduction of its new Honda E-Clutch technology as an option on the CBR650R and CB650R for 24 year model, Honda will open up a whole new aspect of the motorcycling experience for riders of every type and experience level.

Honda E-Clutch takes elements of the technology and performance of quickshifters, manually-operated clutches and Hondas Dual Clutch Transmission technology to create a unique blend of these well-proven approaches. The ultra-compact system weighs only 2 kilograms and the clutch and transmission hardware themselves are no different from a conventional motorcycle, which aids the feasibility of future applications.

In operation, Honda E-clutch is simplicity itself, taking away the need to use the clutch lever to make a shift either up or down the gearbox. The rider simply has to operate the shift pedal for ultra-fast, consistent gear changes, bringing extra enjoyment to sporty riding. The clutch lever is also not needed when pulling away or coming to a stop. Becoming active as soon as the engine is switched on, the system manages both scenarios smoothly, while taking away the possibility of the engine stalling when in operation, providing extra convenience and peace of mind to town riding involving frequent starts and stops.

In addition to enjoyment and convenience, Honda E-Clutch brings ultimate flexibility. Should the rider wish, they are able to operate the clutch lever as normal at any time. When the clutch lever is used, the Honda E-clutch system will re-activate after less than a second above a certain engine rpm; after 5 seconds at lower engine speeds. Should the rider wish to turn off the system for a particular ride, this is also possible via the switchgear on the left handlebar. The change to manual operation is indicated by a letter M on the instrument panel.

The Honda E-Clutch also allows the rider to select an operation feel to set the strength of the force required on the shift pedal to make a gear change. Three settings are available: HARD, MEDIUM, and SOFT, each of which can be chosen independently for upshifting and downshifting. The technology will also advise the rider to shift down - via a symbol on the instrument panel - if it detects the motorcycle is in a high gear at a certain speed.

The Honda E-Clutch manages clutch engagement and disengagement based on its reading of parameters including vehicle speed, throttle opening angle, engine rpm, pressure on the shift pedal, clutch motor reduction gear angle, engine countershaft speed and gear position. The clutch is operated through an actuator unit with two motors situated inside the right hand engine cover. As the clutch is engaged or disengaged, the engines ignition timing and fuel injection are also controlled, resulting in smooth, shock-free shifting in any situation.

The new Honda E-clutch system is set to offer riders across Europe a next level riding experience, and is another symbol that Honda, 75 years since its foundation, is committed to building on its rich history of rider-focussed innovation.

Junya Ono, Large Project Leader, Honda E-Clutch: Our Honda E-Clutch is designed to offer motorcyclists a new kind of experience that can make their riding even more fun and exciting. It also adds peace of mind and comfort to town riding or the daily commute. We hope that many riders will try our new system to enjoy the unique mix of sportiness and flexibility it offers.
